JULY "prayer-starters" DAY 6

We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

Not only is ours a salvation that carries a fullness for this present time, and reaches into the ages to come, it also carries all the power and work of eternity past. It is not a salvation that came upon us as an afterthought from God. From before the foundation of the world, He planned that we should be an integral part of His eternal Kingdom.

Ephesians 1:3-5—Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us (for Himself) in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having •predestinated (in love, having predestinated) us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

DAY 6—The fullness that is ours in Christ reaches into eternity past, is ours now, and will continue with us into the ages to come. Not only is ours a salvation that carries a fullness for this present time, and reaches into the ages to come, it also carries all the power and work of eternity past. It is not a salvation that came upon us as an afterthought from God. From before the foundation of the world, He planned that we should be an integral part of His eternal Kingdom. Ephesians 1:3-5—Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us (for Himself) *in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: having •predestinated* (in love, having predestinated) *us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. The above word predestinated* means that He designed us with a prior intention that we should be placed in His family as mature sons and daughters. I believe that the words *in love* do not belong to the end of verse 4, but rather with the beginning of verse 5. This would make it clear that God’s previous design for us was executed with love. The fullness into which we’re being drawn in Christ has come with love to us from out of eternity. It is ours to know now. It will go on with us into the eternity we are yet to know. DEAR FATHER, it is my heart that is day by day following You. Even if I should think to say that I understand how You could love me so, my mind would falter at trying to explain how You planned me, how You designed me, how You loved me, or how You gave Your Son to redeem me. All I can do is just simply let my heart believe it is so. But, I do KNOW Your redeeming love is with me today. I have confidence to know it will continue.
